Raman a businessman by profession is Managing Director of an Engineering Export Company and a Director in a Finance and Management firm with 32 years of experience in Management, Finance and Industrial Production.

Raman graduated from Business School and had his initial Education at Dehradun and New Delhi.

Raman is a Member of the India National PolioPlus Committee since 1995 and has been involved in the Polio Eradication Initiative, at the National and Global level for over 12 years. He was an advisor to the World Health Organization as a Corporate Affairs Specialist for the program. He also served as a Campaign Associate for Rotary’s Polio Eradication Private Sector Campaign for raising much-needed funds for the program. He is deeply involved in Rehabilitation of Polio victims through the Polio Corrective Surgery project for the past 12 years. He is the recipient of many prestigious Awards.


Raman has been involved in care for Cancer Patients as a Trustee of the Institute of Head and Neck Oncology of Indore Cancer Foundation. His keen interest in restoring sight to the visually challenged through Eye Banking and Eye Camps has kept him involved in this field also since the last 15 years. He is also a Trustee of the Ananth Shishu Palan Trust of India, an orphanage & school at the Sri Ram Ashram, Hardwar.

He is a senior functionary of Rotary International, the world’s oldest and perhaps largest service organization.

He is committed to providing relief to the physically challenged, the illiterate and the economically weaker sections of society.

An effective and articulate orator he talks at various fora on different subjects close to his heart – Leadership, Values, Education and care for the under privileged.
